To celebrate 100 years of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand, we’ve teamed up with UNICEF to give life-saving vaccines to 100,000 children across the Pacific.
So we have a couple of super stars in our club. Nicola Brown & Tony Brown (no relation) were a main feature in the latest Rotary On The Move – November 2021
The article was about Pumpkins for Polio and there’s a nice photo of the two planting a Pumpkin. Well done guys, great work.
Late last week I put a call out for some help at Catherine Littles home stacking firewood and as is the norm with our club a half a dozen guys turned up and had the wood stacked in no time
And then there was a cup of tea & biscuit enjoyed by all. Thank you & I know Catherine is very appreciative.
I have confirmed our participation with Warbirds Over Wanaka as in previous years and I’m sure Easter 2022 will come round quickly so mark it in your dairy.
As always take care.

CHILDRENS BOOKS FOR WANAKA
FOODBANK
A wonderful suggestion has been made by the members of the Service Projects Committee .
There are many families in WANAKA dependent on the assistance provided by the Foodbank operated out of the Community Hub .
As we approach Christmas adding children’s books to the parcels going to families with kids will hopefully give some sunshine to them .
Hence we are asking for Rotarians ( and their friends ) to donate children’s books that are no longer needed or used so these can be given to Community Networks for appropriate distribution .
Please contact me if you want books picked up or , better still , leave them at my place at 70 West Meadows Drive

Day 2 of 3? - more news to come from Mike we suspect.
A very good team effort by the usual suspects. Held in warm dry conditions with BBQ lunch superbly prepared by Liz, and a cool beverage to follow at day's end.
Melbourne Cup Day: November 2nd
Below are some "Atmosphere" shots of a great afternoon and enjoyed by all punters.
Many thanks to Chris Wright for organising the event, and to M.J and Wyndham Resorts Wanaka for hosting the event.
A big shout out also to the Wyndham Food and Beverage and Front of House staff who looked after us so well.
