Tuesday 13th February 2018  - President Fran's Message:
Rotary Park last Tuesday was very pleasant.  A gathering of 20: Rotarians, partners and young Olivia Huddleston,   turned up for a BBQ. Thanks to Pam & Tony Brown for organising the BBQ and trestle. We had trouble acquiring a bbq table ‘cos they had been secured by other visitors! We settled on the waterfront in the sun, protected from the wind by strategically positioned cars and enjoyed  the evening.

In Brief:
Rotarian Cyclotourist  Pascal Temmar, from the Rotary Club of Noumea Ducos Bulari came and went Saturday 3rd Feb. He is now in Te Anau, having travelled a further 770kms..

Take a look at the link to follow his trip https://www.rotarytournz.com/

Recipe to Share – Orange & Date Salad, easy to make and DELICIOUS will include next week so stay tuned, do you have a good recipe to share?

Friends of Rotary (FOR) – If you have anyone interested in helping us out at our fundraising events, then let me know. FOR is a good way for interested parties to get to know how the Rotary Club works. This could lead to more members.  Friends signed up x 4.

CHALLENGE WANAKA

We confirmed arrangements with Challenge Wanaka's charitable Trust last Tuesday and we now ask for your assistance.  We apologise for the late notice.  Our involvement with Challenge is a little different this year and your club needs you.

We are seeking the assistance of Rotarians, partners, and friends, to assist with the Challenge Brunch - Sunday 18 February at Pembroke Park, form about 8.00am to 1.00pm, but with a small amount of assistance required the previous evening.

Our involvement on the day will include setting up, food preparation and serving, plus tidying up after the event.

This time to assist the organisers we are utilising our website's event planning and signup capability, where you have the opportunity to select your preferred activity.
