Tuesday 5 December  - President Fran's Message:

FEEDBACK from the Area Meeting Sunday 3 December, with Alexander, Queenstown & Cromwell chaired by Paul Checketts AG9980:

It’s interesting to note that the other clubs in our patch are experiencing similar issues: aging membership,  resistance to change, difficulty in getting volunteers easily for fundraising projects, acquiring younger members (Wanaka excluded), some clubs more social than project minded, these are just some of the items that were discussed at the online meeting. There will be more to follow once the minutes of the meeting have been compiled. I’ll keep you posted.

Membership Satisfaction Survey (MSS) re: Change. A date has been set for 21 January, for a Directors Workshop to discuss and agree the content of the MSS to be presented to Members for their perusal and input. The MSS will also incorporate ideas and opinions that Pete Barrow has correlated from feedback a small team of members were asked to provide.
I want this to be a collaborative exercise, so will keep you all informed about the results of the workshop and the next step moving forward.

Meanwhile on a less formal note, congratulations to Pip & Vaughn on their wedding and thanks to the team who turned out to help with the Wedding festivities! Thanks also to Clayton for his expertise in the kitchen. I hope the potatoes went down a treat!

The Golf & Christmas Party Combo worked well, as was evident by the parched and sun burned golfers who traipsed into the club house after 2 hours of the Ambrose Tourni playing with 3 clubs! A lot of banter ensued at the Prize giving and it was clear that the afternoon and evening was enjoyed by all. It was great to see lots of partners attend and our youngest guest Olivia Buchanan come along.

22 more sleeps before Christmas and counting down.

Don’t forget items for the Foundation Auction Tuesday 5 December, it’s not too late!
