Tuesday 11 December 2018

This will be the last Bulletin for 2018 and I am now half way though my year as President. Debs and I have already been talking about dates for the changeover in June next year and before I know I will be a Past President.

On the whole it has been an enjoyable 6 months with the highlights for me being the fundraising and then being part of the donations to worthy organisations and individuals in the community.

Two things standout for me, one was representing Rotary at MAC prize giving and the other was advising Land Sar that we would be making a donation to them to replace an old piece of Radio communication equipment

Looking forward we do have some more major fundraising events coming up in February and March which will require the full support of all members.

I have indicated to the district that our club would be interested in hosting the exchange team from Tasmania which will be coming through around April sometime.

And Rosie and I will be working to try and continue to have some interesting speakers for next year. Please if you know of someone who would be a good speaker or maybe a place to visit around Wanaka one night please let us know.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Club Auction this coming Tuesday.

Mary and I wish you all a Merry Xmas with Family and Friends and see you on the 15th January for the 1st meeting of 2019
