Fishing For Blue Cod
Apr 09, 2021 - Apr 11, 2021

https://www.ezifish.com/

Save the date for a weekend in Moeraki.  Loose plan at the moment is:

- Head up Friday evening and to find a spot / brewery in Omarau for a casual dinner.

- Saturday morning, those that want - go fish, those that dont - alternative options????

- Saturday evening dinner at Fleurs or the Moeraki Pub

- Sunday drive back to wanaka and stop for a scenic fish inspired BBQ

For more details of the lodge (owned by the charter company) and the boat please look online.

Boat is limited to 20 max, as is the lodge however I encourage some to camp / caravan / find your own more luxurious accomodation if that way inclined and for everyone to have the benefit of the lodge as a base.

Wanaka Rotary Upper Clutha Winter Feed Competition
Jun 11, 2021

The  Upper Clutha Winter Feed Competition is being organised  for farmers in the Upper Clutha area as a feed competition. The participating farmers will be putting forward their crops for assessment in advance of the event, and will attend for results of judging at the Wanaka Rugby Club rooms on June 11th. The farming businesses and local Wanaka business in the region are sponsoring prizes and auction items, and Tarras school are organising the catering. The proceeds will be donated to the rescue helicopter service.

Rotarians will be wanted for the day for preparation and at the event, more details to come. Attendees will be farmers, representatatives of agricultural supply sponsors and participating volunteers at this stage. Numbers are still to be finally determined to see if more attendees can be invited - entry fees will apply if so to cover costs.

Wanaka Rotary Annual Book Sale
Jul 14, 2021 5:00 PM - Jul 19, 2021 11:00 AM

The Annual Book Sale will be held in July this year, earlier than usual in order to fit in with Lake Wanaka Centre bookings. The sale is aligned with the school holidays to hopefully maximise both local and out-of-town visitors. Collection of books for the sale will commence in early May to give us up to 8 weeks for collections.

The public opening days will be Friday 16th to Sunday 18th July inclusive, the dates listed here include set-up and tear-down dates for club work to get ready for the sale.

More information will be provided nearer the time.
